In the fourth quarter of 2023, the iOS music and podcasts app landscape in Brazil showcased interesting user engagement and download patterns. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the performance of the leading applications in this category.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts saw a fluctuating trend in revenue, with figures ranging from $1M to $3M before dropping to zero in the latter weeks. Downloads peaked mid-quarter at approximately 267K, while weekly active users experienced a high of 4.4M towards the end of November.

YouTube Music maintained a consistent revenue stream, with earnings hovering around $65K to $76K. The app's downloads stayed in the 30K range, with a slight increase to around 40K in December. Weekly active users showed growth, reaching over 2.7M by the quarter's end.

For eSound - MP3 Music Player App, revenues were modest but steady, averaging around $4.5K to $5.6K. Downloads saw a slight downward trend, stabilizing at around 25K. Active users declined over the quarter, ending with just over 256K in the last week of December.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast generated revenues between $39K and $45K, with a notable spike in the final week of November. Downloads ranged from 14K to 20K, while active users saw a peak of over 633K in early November before decreasing to approximately 555K by the year's end.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts did not generate any revenue for the quarter, but downloads showed an upward trajectory, rising to over 17K in the final weeks. Active user counts were the lowest among the top apps, with a slight increase to around 53K active users in the last week.
